What Tessera is

Tessera is a free, student-run live parking board for USF. Members report which campus lots are open, busy, or full, so everyone can find a spot faster.

Tessera is independent. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the University of South Florida.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. Tessera is built for the USF community — students, staff, and affiliates.

You can sign in with any email you actually receive mail at, including a personal one. USF's mail system often holds our login codes, and we would rather you get in than be locked out by your own inbox. One account per person.

Using it fairly

Keep your parking reports honest and current. Don't spam, harass, impersonate anyone, scrape the service, or try to break it. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the community or these terms.

Your privacy

We collect only what we need — the email you sign in with, your campus and category, and the reports you make. We do NOT collect USF ID numbers.

Tessera sells campus occupancy data — how full lots are, in aggregate — to university parking operations. That product never includes your identity: it is counts and timings, with no name, email, or account attached, and it cannot be traced back to who reported what. We do not sell your personal information.

You can delete your account anytime from your profile. We immediately remove your personal details (email, name, photo, schedule, vehicle info). For legal and tax reasons we keep limited records of any past payments, deposits, or citations — with no personal details attached — for a retention period, then delete those too.

No guarantees

Tessera is provided "as is." A lot shown as open can fill up by the time you arrive, and reports come from other students, not from USF. Always follow posted signs, USF parking rules, and the law when you park.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Florida law; disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration in Hillsborough County, Florida. Questions: notifications@tesserapark.com.
